How does TrailMarked work?

1. Application

You can apply for a certification before you have attempted your outdoor challenge. Once you have applied, you will have access to a group of other applicants, along with resources that will help you complete your chosen achievement.

You will be enrolled in an application process that will ask you questions about your planning and ask you to provide evidence. It will explain what kind of evidence is acceptable, and preferred and give you an opportunity to upload anything you have.

2. Submit your evidence

Once uploaded, you will be asked to sign a declaration of truth to confirm that your evidence is honest to the best of your knowledge.

Your application can then be completed and will be sent off to our team.

3. Get certified for your outdoor achievement

Our team will go through your evidence and decide whether they can certify your achievement. This is a manual process and will be done in batches, so could take up to 14 days.

4. Order your certificate and patch

Once certified, you will then receive an email, and digital certificate, badge and be automatically accepted into our certified adventurers groups pertaining to your adventure. 5. Receive your certificate and patch

In your certification email, you will be able to follow a link where you can input the details for your certificate and patch. Once submitted, they will be sent to you.
